Christopher Jackson is an Instructor (Teaching Assistant Professor) in the Department of Political Science and International Relations and affiliated faculty in the Peace and Justice Studies Program at Loyola Marymount University. He teaches courses in International Relations, Political Economy, Nationalism, and Conflict Resolution, and has taught study abroad courses in peacebuilding and nationalism in Croatia. His research focuses on transborder aspects of conflict resolution, nationalism, and party building particularly in Eastern and Southeastern Europe. His recent research has been published in the European Journal of International Security, Democratization, Peacebuilding, Millenium, and Civil Wars. He is currently working on a book manuscript titled ‘Post-Structural Irredentism: Public-Private Capital and Alignment between National and Political-Ideologically Identity in Modern Europe’. In addition to his teaching and research, he has been the Managing Editor of Global Studies Quarterly since 2021 and currently serves as a Higher Education Ambassador for the Council of Foreign Relations. Christopher Jackson earned a PhD in Political
Science from Georgia State University in 2022, prior to which he earned a MA in International Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015, and a BA in History and French from Centre College in 2012. He has also worked as an international student advisor and advisor for undocumented and refugee students at the community college level.
