About
Dr. Xu joined LMU in 2009 and is responsible for teaching the communications portion of the curriculum. Before starting his Ph.D. study at UMass, he worked as a software engineer at Zhongxing Telecommunications Equipment Co. Ltd. (China), where he took part in the development of the system software for the IS-2000 1X CDMA cellular system. His research interests include wireless communications, electromagnetic propagation, antennas, and biomedical imaging.
Dr. Xu received his B.S. from Tianjin University in 2000, his M.S. from Tianjin University in 2003 and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008.
