K.J. Peters, Ph.D. is a professor of Rhetoric and Theory and the Chair of the English Department at Loyola Marymount University. He earned his Doctorate at the University of Nebraska, specializing in critical theory and interrogative rhetorics. He is the author of The ARGUMENT HANDBOOK and THE ARGUMENT TOOLBOX, published by Broadview Press. He has written on topics such as the thematics of Hemingway, the rhetoric of privacy, Levinasian phenomenology, and academic freedom.
