About
As head of the Choe group, research interests have included: 1) development of new synthetic methods in organic chemistry and 2) pedagogical research to improve science education. In the area of chemical research, the Choe group has concentrated efforts on two projects. The first project involves the development of nitrile and formyl transfer reactions using radical chemistry and the second project investigates methods for selective deprotection of carbohydrates.
Dr. Choe earned her fellowship to Camille & Henry Dreyfus through Occidental College in 1994, completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry U.C. Los Angeles in 1994 and B.S. in Chemistry from U.C. Los Angeles in 1988.
