Abstract

In this chapter we review the various incentive compatible methods for eliciting many different statistics of one’s beliefs. We discuss theoretical and behavioral properties of each mechanism and review the relevant literature. Where appropriate, we provide our own recommendations and guidance on best practices for conducting a belief elicitation.
