Abstract
How can librarians incorporate innovative practices that provide insight into creating valuable student learning experiences? This lightning talk will chronicle how the business librarian used the curriculum map technique to identify information literacy skills and target essential learning in the business curriculum. The curriculum mapping process required the analysis of business course syllabi and the identification of relevant information literacy learning outcomes at institutional, departmental, and course levels. National standards and threshold concepts from the business literature were evaluated as well. This process helped pinpoint which learning outcomes lead to learning activities that promote practical information literacy skills needed by business students.
