Abstract

Evangelina Arce is a human rights activist, poet, and mother of Silvia Arce, one of the thousands of victims of feminicide in Latin America. Silvia disappeared in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico in March 1998. Ms. Arce is active in Justicia Para Nuestras Hijas, and she was a founding member of Voces Sin Eco. This collection of poems is a heart-breaking ode to her lost daughter and a cry for answers to the senseless injustice she has suffered.
The poems appear in both Spanish and English with a Preface from Alicia Partnoy and translations by Margaret Randall, Gail Wronsky, and students from Loyola Marymount University.
