Sentiment Analysis Method Review in Information Systems Research

Abstract

This research aims to study sentiment analysis methods in Information Systems field. For this purposes, 33 sentiment analysis papers in IS field from AIS Electronic Library is analyzed. This paper contributes to IS field by (1) enhancing understanding on how sentiment analysis has been used in Information Systems research field, (2) providing examples on how to conduct sentiment analysis in different research areas, (3) highlighting the importance of automatically analysis in sentiment analysis, (4) exploring ways that integrated sentiment analysis with other analysis methods or approaches, (5) identifying the top references that used in sentiment analysis research in IS field, and (6) extracting the knowledge groups of sentiment analysis research in IS field.
