Abstract
This is the introduction to the Special Issue, “Iconography of the West: Autoethnographic Representations of the West(erns)” that engages a writing of variable images invoked in the reference to the West and Westerns, and the exposure of the authors to the movie genre and lived reality of westerns and frontier life.
