Abstract
The TIFF Life zine was written for a panel, Archives for Empowerment, at the Allied Media Conference 2017. Compiled for people of color, this zine briefly reflects upon the whiteness within libraries, archives, and museums. Critical of traditional libraries and archives that are compliant in the oppression and extraction of the narratives of people of color, we review self-archiving tips, data management skills, and digital storage advice to give one the chance to control their own narrative.
