Abstract
The authors present the results of using the SAS® procedure NPAR1WAY as well as the nonparametric procedures from JMP™ 7.0 , in an investigation of survey data concerning anticipated charitable giving. A survey concerning anticipated future charitable donations was conducted during the Spring, 2007 semester at Loyola Marymount University using undergraduate students as the focus of interest. Since ranked data was collected from the survey, numerous nonparametric tests were performed for location and differences across different groups. A multiple regression model was also developed and reported. Both SAS and JMP software were used in the analysis of the survey. Of particular notice is an example of the new Scatterplot 3D graph which is available starting in JMP version 7.0.
